This week we got the first real taste of fall in the air. It’s cooling down at night, the humidity all but disappeared yesterday, and the past two mornings have been crisp. It’s wonderful. I am so ready. This summer somehow flew by and dragged on at the same time. I’m surprised it’s the end of August already, but I also can’t wait for Fall.

I walked out the door to go to the gym this morning, and as soon as I stepped outside and felt how amazing the temperature was, I changed plans and went for a run in the park instead. You know those really, really good running days when you feel like you could just go and go forever without stopping? Today was one of those days. It was awesome. I love being out when the sun is coming up, it’s so quiet and cool and beautiful.

I’m in a really good place right now. I’ve set some health and fitness goals and I’m actually sticking to them and making some really great progress, for once. It’s exciting and motivating and now that I’m seeing change (after 7 weeks of hard work!!) I’m excited to keep going.

Klane’s commercial that he shot a couple weeks ago for Lowe’s will be airing soon, I think. He’s been busy as ever with work and he seems to like it, although he does get tired of working long hours sometimes. He’s happy.

Another reason to be happy about fall is that football season is here!!! I’m watching the BYU game right now, and our team is looking promising so far! I just love football season. It’s so fun!

We have a really great month ahead. We’re spending Labor Day weekend in the Poconos mountains with a group of friends, then we’ll host my brother Justin and his wife Andrea for a week in the city, then a couple days later we take off for Utah and Lake Powell for almost two weeks. This month is going to fly by but it’s going to be a ton of fun.

We’re also planning a few little trips here and there for the Fall… it’s going to be a good few months! I’m excited.
