Our friends Shane and Alyssa Markham came to visit the city and stayed with us over the weekend. It was so fun having them here! On Saturday night the four of us when to dinner with Pat and Lindsay at Ovest Pizzoteca in Chelsea. The pizza at Ovest was delicious and the nutella dessert pizza was good too. It was a really fun night! I haven’t laughed that hard and that much in a long, long time. Oh, funny friends.

We walked on the High Line afterward and thankfully decided to snap a picture while we were up there, because that was the only one we got the whole night! I’m glad I have something to remember this night by. It was really fun.

I love when we get the chance to host people while they visit New York because it gives me a chance to see the city through their eyes. They remind me what is unique and surprising and exciting about the city, and I love that. I am so used to living here that things don’t surprise me anymore, and I like remembering what it was like to be new here. It makes me appreciate what an amazing, beautiful, wonderful place we are lucky to live in.
