How to Succeed

by angie.

Because of the snow, the Magleby’s went to TWO broadway shows on Saturday. After the matinee of Wicked, they came outside to discover that it was still snowing, so they went over to get tickets for that night’s performance of How to Succeed.

Klane and I met up with them for dinner at Shake Shack (their fourth visit of the trip, but who’s counting?!) and they convinced us to come to the theater with them to just see if we could get tickets for the show. We got there 10 minutes before showtime and got two standing room only tickets for $30 a pop. Not bad.

Steve graciously gave me his seat, so Dayna and I had great seats for the performance, while the boys stood in back. We were giddy with excitement to see Daniel Radcliffe (a.k.a. Harry Potter) up close! When the show started and he first took the stage, we were squealing so much that this obnoxious lady behind us basically told us to shut up. :)

The show was amazing! It really was funny and Dan Radcliffe was really great. His American accent was good and his singing voice wasn’t bad either. He was even a good dancer! The show was hilarious and had us laughing out loud all night. And come on, it’s HARRY POTTER! How cool is that? There was a part where the company hoisted him on their shoulders in a celebratory cheer, and Dayna and I both instantly thought of Quidditch scenes from the movies. All he needed was a golden snitch in his hand to complete the scene. Hahaha. So great.

We loved it. I’m so glad Steve and Dayna convinced us to go! It was such a fun night.
