The Perfect Saturday:

- 85 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze
- took the A all the way from 125th to the beach, zero transfers, 75 minutes (!!!)
- followed a friend’s recommendation to a less crowded surfer beach
- salt water taffy, sandwiches, apples and crackers
- soaked up the sun, body surfed in the waves, enjoyed the soft, fine sand
- headed to Lincoln Square to see the final HP movie at 7:30
- strolled through the UWS on a perfect summer evening
- late dinner at Land Thai Kitchen on the UWS – delicious

The secret to no crowds at the beach is to set up camp just to the side from where the lifeguard patrol ends. You’re not allowed in the water right there so no one is hanging out there. When you’re ready to get in the water you can walk over to the crowded part. Genuis!

This looks like it was such a great day! And what a great way to end it—with Harry Potter! I want to hear what you thought of the movie. We still haven’t gone. We’re thinking maybe this weekend.

I loved the movie! Of course there were some things they changed but I thought it was really well done. Loved it!!

i know my life is stressful when i feel like i had a vacation just from reading your blog. that was a much needed mental break checking out those pictures, and it felt like i had a taste of the beach for a second there. and I’m a 100% serious right now.
