Terrible horrible no good very bad day
by angie.
BYU lost. In overtime. I can’t talk about it.
I weigh as much as I ever do and I feel so discouraged about the 15 pounds I want to lose before Hawaii this summer.
I smashed my head on the corner of the bathroom mirror so hard I thought I’d split my head open for several seconds afterwards. (I didn’t. But it’s been 15 minutes and it still hurts a lot.)
Oh and this morning we woke up to this:
SNOW. At the END of March. I do not live in Utah so this is not okay. Look at those drooping, pathetic daffodils. They look like they feel the same way I do.
I am going to bed before anything else can go wrong.

boo. want some of my skittles? i will definitely share them with you. tomorrow will be much better because it’s FRIDAY :D
There is a bright side to all of this: not being in the tournament will leave us lots of time to think about the, um, “important” things of life.
Never mind, that doesn’t help. Jimmer IS one of the important things in life. At least we’ll get to see him in the NBA!
i seriously almost cried when byu lost. :)
I’m glad to know others are upset over the game. Clint said I was taking it harder than he was. And it’s true. I woke up in the middle of the night still so upset. They should have won. I keep replaying scenarios of how the could have won! Oh well :( And I know how you feel overall. I’ve got plenty of baby weight to lose that seems to want to take its time! Cheer up! Spring is around the corner!
NO!! Angie, I will not allow you to be upset. Here is why:
(1)You made the most amazing dip ever last night. So, although BYU lost, we got to eat that dip, so all is right in this world.
(2) You are the ONLY person who thinks you need to lose 15 pounds. You look PERFECT to me. And I promise that I’m not just saying that.
(3) Today is Friday.
I understand. Enough said. :p
P.S what is that phrase from? Isn’t it from a book or something? Either way “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day” made me giggle. Only because it’s been true!
The snow! What?!?! It’s killing me. Spring is right around the corner. We can hang in there until then…right?
I heard about the snow up there and I almost didn’t believe it. Well now I’m seeing it for myself. Snow and daffodils do not belong together. There is clearly something very wrong with that picture. Hang in there. Spring will come eventually.
Ha ha Angie I love you and I love that your post began with one of my favorite children’s books. We all have days like that! We were so upset last night we had to go to Arctic Circle and drown our sorrows in hot fudge sundae’s. Felt better for just a moment! Poor Jimmer really got beat up last night and at times it was a one against 5 fight. Talk about ganging up on the poor guy! I felt like a protective mother!
Well lets move on and think spring and football. We have 5 Lacrosse games to watch in the next 36 hours and it is snowing here as I write, but I am going to bundle up and enjoy! It’s Friday!!
Oh Angie I know just how you feel about snowy days. And more is falling as we speak!
Oh Ang!! First: you need Chocolate…it will make you feel better for about 5 minutes. Second: You need an apple…it will make you feel better eating healthy after eathing the chocolate. Third: You need to go out and make some of your last snow angels because this snow is just teasing you and spring is right almost here! Fourth: Cry. Seriously, when I stub my toe and it KILLS, I cry. It makes me feel good for about 5 minutes…and also EVERYONE else in my house gets all serious and soon dishes are being done by my hubby, the kids are suddenly clenaning their rooms, and everyone is looking at me with worried looks and I even sometimes to get go and take a guilt-less nap!!!! YAY! So, let the tears stream down next time you bash your head so hard. Fifth: Just pull up lot…I mean LOTS of pictures of extremely heavy people from the internet. Then you will always feel better about your own weight. I use this strategy and I plan to use it the rest of my life. And, it will also make you feel like you don’t even need to lose weight and that you were SILLY even thinking that you needed to lose any in the first place!!! :) Ok, and Sixth: go and rent all the chick flick movies possible!!! But, start with Everafter! IT’s my FAVORITE!! Ok, my work here is done.
Ang…I love you. and it’s ok to feel this way!! It’s ok!! Days like this come and go and then they come again and sometimes they stay longer and sometimes they don’t show up for awhile (you get what i’m saying ha ha). I hope today was a little better though. My grandma always used to say “it’s always better in the morning.” so I hope morning came and left you feeling a little bit better than yesterday. You’re a beauty. Don’t forget it! But, when you do:) do every single thing you can do in one day, that makes you feel joy. Love you!
When we were in sharing time with our primary class this week there was a little boy being really naughty and playing with his scriptures under his chair. I bent down to take care of the issue and hit my head SO hard on the chair in front of me! I wanted to cry so bad!! That’s what your story reminded me of. :)
I wish I had something like Hawaii to motivate me to lose the few extra pounds I’ve put on! It’s hard to find energy as a working woman with a sweet tooth. :)
I’m so sorry!! I was totally bummed about the BYU game, too. And I can’t stand the snow anymore — we got some here today. Do something to make the weekend awesome. :)
Seems like an appropriate title. Hope tomorrow is a better one!
Oh Angie. A group of us were just having a conversation about how Thursday was cursed. So many bad things happened to so many people and the byu game was the lovely cherry on top to the worst day ever. I hope you are having a better day today!
