Saturday, in the Park

by angie.

Saturday was rockin. We went to a matinee of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World with the Koellings. It was a trip; crazy stylized and totally awesome. Okay, there were some odd parts. But Klane and I loved it. We’re weird like that.

After the movie we went for lunch at – where else? – Shake Shack! Did I mention the weather was PERFECT on Saturday? It was. I could feel fall coming. The breeze was dry and cool. Oh it was lovely. We meandered over to the lake at Central Park and sat on a rock, talking and soaking up the sun and watching the row boats. It was such a perfect afternoon.

Lindsay, thanks for the pictures, and I’m sorry I didn’t take one with you in it!

Then on Saturday evening we met up with Johnny and Joanna and headed to Brooklyn to gather with other BYU alumni at a friend’s apartment and watch the cougars win their first game of the season! Ahhh, it feels good to be in football season again. It was so much fun watching the game with a big group, cheering on our team. Seeing the stadium and my mountains on TV also made me feel a little closer to home. :)

I love BYU football! And this year is fun because there are so many new up-and-coming players we haven’t seen a lot from, including two quarterbacks with such different styles. This should be a fun season! GO COUGARS!

We were both at the park on Saturday! And we almost stopped at SS, but the line was sooo long and we had to get back for the game and baby bedtime.

  2. Steve got up at ONE in the morning to watch it Live on his computer. Talk about true blue fan. I am so glad we won. I too love football season. I miss it there so much. When did you feel like you were content being so far away from home? I’m dying here!

  6. I love that picture of you and Klane! You look so pretty, and that looks like such a lovely afternoon :-) And go Cougs is right!!! This is a big week in our household with BYU heading out to Air Force. It’s the first time in 6 years that I won’t be at that game in person. Crazy, huh? It’s so tempting to just hop on a plane… haha.

Thought of you today as I was running and feeling the cool crisp air on my face and noticing the first few leaves changing colors on Y mountain . . . Fall is in the air and so is BYU football! Did you happen to notice that the Cougar and Ute game is Thanksgiving weekend?! Love you and miss you very much!

Ang you are gorgeous! When did your hair get so long? Don’t you just love spending Saturdays with the hubs? I live for the weekends to see mine just a little longer than a kiss in the morning and evening. I would have to agree football season is one of the best times of the year!!!

Hey Angie, you have some cute new clothes and they look awesome on you! What a perfect day and I am really liking Dave’s comment. Gotta love the oldies that are never old!! Maybe that song was inspired by Central Park!
